Mufti Hasanović expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and recalled the late Mr Dragutin Drk, the long-time owner of Vindija d.d., who led the company for more than 50 years and was a prominent business leader in the Republic of Croatia, with whom the Islamic Community had established a long-standing and successful cooperation.
The Centre for Halal Quality Certification, as one of the institutions of the Islamic Community in Croatia, has been cooperating with Vindija d.d. for many years on the systematic monitoring and implementation of halal standards in its companies. This cooperation contributes to economic development and ensures greater availability of halal products in the domestic and international markets.
The Chairman of the Management Board of Vindija d.d., Mr Nenad Klepač, thanked them for the visit and informed the delegation about the activities and investments of the Vindija d.d. group in production facilities, aimed at achieving the highest possible product quality. He also pointed out that the Centre for Halal Quality Certification continuously aligns its standards with international halal norms, thereby opening up greater opportunities for Croatian halal products to be placed on the global market.
The meeting took place in a positive and constructive atmosphere, with a joint agreement on the continuation of cooperation with the aim of strengthening the economy and encouraging new business initiatives. In addition to Mufti Academic Aziz ef. Hasanović, the meeting was also attended by a member of the Meshihat, the president of the Management Board of the Centre for Halal Quality Certification, Dr Mirza Šabić, and the acting head of the Centre, Mr Muhamed Mandžić.
