Halal quality certificates awarded to four producers
Today, a ceremony for the awarding of halal quality certificates to representatives of the companies Gavrilović, ‘Ard natural cosmetics, Orgula and the Fishing Cooperative Friška riba was held at the Islamic Centre Zagreb. The ceremony was attended by: the director of the Centre, Mufti Academic Aziz ef. Hasanović; the president of the Centre’s Management Board, Dr Mirza Šabić; the secretary of the Meshihat, MSc Nermin ef. Botonjić; and Centre employees Enisa Botonjić and Muhamed Mandžić.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Enisa Botonjić, head of the Education Department, addressed those present on behalf of the Centre and welcomed them. Along with congratulations on the successful implementation of halal standards, she emphasised the successful cooperation in the field of implementation, as well as the producers’ commitment to aligning their production with the halal standard. This was followed by the formal awarding of certificates, which were received on behalf of the companies by: Mr Trpimir Lovreković and Ms Ivana Kaleb – Gavrilović; Ms Katarina Mešić – ‘Ard natural cosmetics; Ms Linda Zanki Duvnjak – Fishing Cooperative Friška riba; and Ms Ana Marija Filipović Grčić and Mr Andrija Mihić – Orgula.
In the description of the activities of each producer, the most important features were highlighted. Gavrilović as the most famous producer of meat products with a tradition dating back more than 300 years.
‘Ard natural cosmetics is engaged in the production of natural phytoaromatherapeutic cosmetics based on hydrolates, and all products are dermatologically tested and approved for use.
The Fishing Cooperative Friška riba brings together 20 professional fishermen; the association was founded in 2007 in Split and today they provide products that include everything from small blue fish and shellfish to white fish.
Orgula was founded in 2002 and is engaged in the sale and processing of high-quality olive oil and other food products intended for the gourmet segment of the market.
After the awarding, the director of the Centre, Mufti Academic Aziz ef. Hasanović, addressed those present, congratulating them in his speech on fulfilling all the prerequisites prescribed by the halal standard.
He emphasised that the awarding of certificates is the beginning of a new chapter of cooperation and provides the opportunity to open new markets with proven added value. He thanked everyone for their dedicated work and perseverance on this path and wished everyone much success in their future business.
