Ongoing activities in preparation for the Halal Travel & Taste Summit 2026

On this occasion, a meeting was held at the Centre for Halal Quality Certification, attended by Mr. Ahmed Hamdi Şuşoğlu, Religious Affairs Counsellor at the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Croatia, Dr. Fuat Korkmaz, Director of the Yunus Emre Institute in Zagreb, and Mr. Muhamed Mandžić, Manager of the Centre for Halal Quality Certification.

The meeting focused on defining the content of the upcoming Summit and strengthening inter-institutional cooperation. Special emphasis was placed on the important partner role of the Yunus Emre Institute, which, through cultural diplomacy, provides strong support for connecting stakeholders in the fields of tourism, gastronomy and cultural exchange.

The Halal Travel & Taste Summit 2026, to be held on 18 June in Zagreb under the theme “Halal as a Global Tourism Trend”, will bring together experts from the fields of tourism, hospitality, gastronomy, certification and business development. The aim of the event is to exchange knowledge, present good practices and open new business opportunities in the growing global halal market.

We thank the Yunus Emre Institute for its continuous support and look forward to continuing joint activities aimed at developing halal tourism and strengthening international ties.
