Representative of the Embassy of Malaysia Visits the Centre for Halal Quality Certification

A meeting was held at the Centre for Halal Quality Certification between the Centre's Manager, Mr. Muhamed Mandžić, and Mr. Melvin Cheah Chee Aun, Counsellor and Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Malaysia in Croatia.

During the meeting, the long-standing and successful cooperation between the Centre and the Embassy of Malaysia in Croatia was confirmed, with plans to continue developing it through new joint projects and initiatives. Discussions focused on further improving halal standardization, strengthening professional education, developing economic cooperation, and promoting halal products on the domestic and international markets.

It was particularly highlighted that the Centre was recently officially informed about the upcoming visit by JAKIM (Department of Islamic Development Malaysia), which represents an important step in further strengthening institutional cooperation and aligning halal standards between the Republic of Croatia and Malaysia.

The interlocutors agreed that this development further confirms the strategic importance of bilateral cooperation and opens up space for more concrete forms of technical and professional cooperation in the field of halal certification.
