Soumaya T. Hamdi is the founder and director of the Halal Travel Guide platform, an internationally recognized entrepreneurial initiative focused on the development of halal tourism and the creation of authentic travel experiences for Muslim travelers. She is also recognized as one of the most influential women in the tourism industry.

She founded her company in 2015 in London with the aim of connecting Muslim travelers with their own history, cultural heritage, and destinations offering unique travel experiences.

Under her leadership, Halal Travel Guide has grown from an initial offering of trips to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Uzbekistan into an international travel program covering numerous destinations, including Kazakhstan, Andalusia, South Korea, Malaysia, Jordan, and Oman. In addition to organizing small-group trips, the company also develops private and corporate travel programs for organizations and various communities.
