Visit to the Medžlis (Islamic Community Council) of Dubrovnik

As part of an official visit to halal-certified facilities in the Dubrovnik area, the acting head of the Centre for Halal Quality Certification, Mr Muhamed Mandžić, also visited the Medžlis (Islamic Community Council) of Dubrovnik.

The hosts on this occasion were the chief imam of the Medžlis and president of the Assembly of the Islamic Community in the Republic of Croatia, Salkan ef. Herić, and the secretary of the Medžlis, Mr Fehim Vukotić.

During the meeting, discussions focused on past and future cooperation between the Centre and the Medžlis, with special emphasis on halal-certified facilities operating in the Dubrovnik area. The importance of connecting the local community and the halal sector through joint activities and encouraging further development was highlighted.

The continuation of cooperation was agreed upon with the aim of strengthening halal infrastructure and providing support to all stakeholders operating in accordance with halal standards.
