Working visit held at the Ministry of Agriculture.

Minister of Agriculture MSc Marija Vučković, together with her colleagues State Secretary Mr. Šimo Mršić and Director of the Directorate for Agricultural and Rural Development Support Mr. Goran Lipavić, received the Head of the Centre for Halal Quality Certification, Assoc. Prof. Dr. sc. Aldin Dugonjić, on a working visit. Also participating in the meeting alongside Mr. Dugonjić was MSc Edina Mešić, Head of the Quality Department at the Centre for Halal Quality Certification.

The meeting highlighted the positive example of cooperation between these two institutions regarding requirements for veterinary certificates for exports to halal markets, as well as the export conditions prescribed by the importing country for certain shipments.

The meeting of representatives was also used to discuss the possibilities for developing special strategic projects to strengthen the competitiveness of the Croatian economy through enhanced exports to halal markets, in order to make the best possible use of opportunities in those markets and position the Republic of Croatia.

On this occasion, the Head thanked the Minister as well as the entire Ministry of Agriculture for their wholehearted support to date and expressed the hope that such cooperation would continue in the future, with the first opportunity already being the upcoming Halal Business Forum planned for October 2022.
